Due to its natural origin, low level of processing and specific raw material properties, we are able to provide our customers with a wide range of ‘free from’ claims for our gum acacia. The aim of this natural clean label features is to support healthy food or products for special diets without compromise. Simplify your ingredient list with the label-friendly acacia gum. Less complexity makes it easier for consumers to understand and trust your products.
Gum Arabic is a clear example of a sustainable natural resource. It is the hand-picked tree sap of mainly wild growing acacias. They are part of the local biodiversity of the semi-arid Sahel zone. The hardened exudate is dissolved in water, purified, pasteurised and spray dried into a ready-to-use powder. There is no chemical modification, only light processing and purification for safe use. Competitive products made from corn starch or soy is grown in industrial monocultures. In contrast, gum arabic does not require pesticides, fertilisers or carbon dioxide-intensive farming. It is a product sourced from the local ecosystem.
Willy Benecke and our production facility SprayCom GmbH are committed to minimising their environmental impact. Energy consumers are identified and consumption rates are monitored in order to take measures to improve efficiency. For example a solar power system was installed on our spray drying plant.
